- Edging
- Stopping just before climax, letting the feeling settle, then building up again.
- Goon cave
- A space set up for sessions: low light, a comfortable seat, one or more screens.
- Goon loop
- A short clip meant to be watched on repeat.
- Goon session
- One sitting of gooning, from warm-up to the end — often an hour or longer.
- Gooned
- The dazed, far-away state people describe reaching deep into a long session.
- Gooner
- Someone who enjoys gooning sessions.
- Goonette
- Slang for a woman who enjoys gooning, or a performer who makes content for gooners.
- Gooning
- Edging for a long time on purpose, usually with a steady stream of adult content, without rushing to finish.
- Hands-free
- A player that moves to the next clip on its own, so you never stop to click.
- Hypno
- Clips with spirals, slow text and repetitive audio meant to feel trance-like.
- JOI
- “Jerk-off instructions”: a performer talks to the camera and sets the pace.
- Multi-view
- Watching several clips at once — on GoonXXX, up to four in one tab.
- PMV
- “Porn music video”: many short cuts edited to a song, cut on the beat.
- Split screen
- Two or more clips playing side by side in one video.
